Description:
YIKES was a solo project featuring a set of kinetic papier maché sculptures that resembled long necks with a faux wood texture and large adams apples that "bobbed" slowly up and down the neck. Stuck in a perpetual state of uncertainty and nervousness. I programmed the Arduino's to move according to a 1972 chess game between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky. This was in relation to a broader project where I was intentionally misunderstanding and distilling the biography of Bobby Fisher * see Bobby Bear Back Goes Fisching, and POISON PAWN for more tangents of that project.
