Description:

SMASH presents a multi-media art installation which includes a small beer fridge – housing ice-cold sugar-glass bottles – and two super 8mm films. One of the films, “crunch” shows the artist chomping on a green sugar-glass bottle while the second film “smash” shows a red velvet head being smashed repeatedly by more bottles. Inspired by boycotts of beer brands, the iconic ‘Tequila!’ bar-scene from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (1985), and trans-led resistance movements – Simons hosts a dysfunctional man-cave in MEANWHILE gallery.
