Description:
A multi-disciplinary exhibition that lampooned the conventions of hetero courtship rituals found in American sitcoms. The exhibition title drew inspiration from the endlessly hopeless waiter from 'Friends', Gunther. The fictional business "Hagley Perk, Dogs 'n' Coffee" was a reference to the coffee shop from Friends and the local dog park in Ōtautahi called Hagley Park. Effectively conflating two socially specific sites within an already absurd macho premise.
