Description:
A future focused contemporary art prize organised by Riff Raff (myself and Li-Ming Hu), featuring four fictional finalists; Printo Moorth, Cabbage, Clarchat Scintal and Salvo Las Vegas. Along with creating the work and biographies of each finalist, we also arranged the two esteemed judges, Serene Hu - a retired General Practitioner and Li-Ming's mother. And Roeland Simons - National Construction Manager for McDonalds, and my father. We also organised and hosted a public programme which consisted of a Curatorial Panel discussion featuring; Sophie Davis, Francis McWhannell, Balamohan Shingade and Jamie Hanton. We also hosted an Artist Talk featuring exclusive interviews with the fictional finalists, and concluded the exhibition with a VIP Awards Dinner where the ultimate winner "Printo Moorth", was announced by the two judges. Moorth's prize consisted of a 1999 Mazda Capella, a 1997 Nissan Bluebird and a 6 month unpaid internship with Jamie Hanton, Director of the Physics Room. The People's choice winner was Cabbage.
